Power + ❤ + The Master’s Aikido = the Greatest Festival of All Time.
Steven Seagal, multifaceted actor, musician and sage, can at last enjoy a dignified film festival in his name in the Czech Republic, hosting only the Master’s films and snapping bones again in the immortal classic, Marked for Death. Guests will also enjoy an after-film discussion, live demo by San Dó Mon Prague kendó school, a hard-boiled mini photo-corner, or a dose of 'Seagal's Wrath' at the cinema bar.
time & place
POSPONED BECAUSE OF THE FREAKIN' CORONAVIRUS, NEW DATE TBA. Please follow our social media for new date & some of the Master's love. FFSS will take place in kino Aero, Biskupcova 1733/31, Praha 3.
We will begin at 8pm sharp! This year's festival offers up a screening of the immortal classic Marked for Death, in which Master Seagal takes on the role of John Hatcher, "a good cop in a bad mood" as the indisputable words of the film's original trailer describe him. John, a veteran of the war on drugs, plans to live out his well-earned retirement in the suburbs of Chicago. But, when a group of juiced-up Jamaicans begin dealing drugs to children and threatening his family, John unleashes a sleeping beast - and the bones begin to crack.
The consumption of alcoholic drinks is allowed and highly recommended throughout the course of the talks and screening. All visitors who - like Master Seagal himself - are holders of the 7th Dan of Aikido, are black-belts in karate, judo and kendo and have worked for the CIA will be served unlimited drinks free of charge. The cinema bar will be serving up traditional drinks including 'Seagal's Wrath', a heady libation based on a secret blend of rare herbs from Japan's Mount Hotaka, or the popular Steel Raspberry, which we've created in honor of Sensei Malina (6th Dan) from Aikido Dojo Karlín using equally magical ingredients (raspberry soda and vodka).
2021 - POSTPONED
2020 - CANCELED
2019 - Under Siege. When a band of the most loathsome mercenaries hijack the USS Missouri, they still have yet to learn that the most dangerous weapon on board isn’t its supply of nuclear Tomahawk missiles – it’s the ship’s cook, well-versed in the deadly path of the Bushido. Casey Ryback is a former member of the elite NAVY Seals who’s left his career in killing for a comfortable cook’s job below deck. But … they’ve killed his captain … they’ve spit in his bouillabaisse ... and they’ve dared to blackmail America! - something this awardee of the Silver Star, Navy Cross and Purple Heart just won’t stand for. Casey’s mind is always one step ahead as his graceful aikido steps bring sinew-snapping death to his unwitting foes. For the first time we aired in kino Aero and scored 178 participants.
2018 - Out for Justice. Anybody seen Richie? We aired in a pub and scored 25 participants.
2017 - Above the Law. We began with Master’s debut, where he’s toughest. We aired in a pub and scored 14 participants.
